Tbilisi Balneological Spa Resort
Tbilisi Balneological Spa Resort is a unique destination in Georgia, renowned for its therapeutic services, which utilize the natural resources of sulfur water and volcanic mud.
In the late 19th century, German geologist Wilhelm Abich first investigated Tbilisi’s thermal waters, promoting their use for healing. Supported by subsequent clinical observations, this led to the establishment of the Tbilisi Balneological Spa Resort in 1938.
Today, the resort is renowned for its therapeutic offerings that leverage natural sulfur waters and volcanic mud. It provides a range of treatments, including mineral and sulfur baths, volcanic mud therapies, medical rehabilitation, and spa services.
Tbilisi features seven types of thermal-sulfur mineral springs, rich in essential minerals. The resort combines four main areas:
1. Balneo: Focused on therapeutic baths using sulfur water and volcanic mud for various ailments.
2. Wellness Spa: Offers relaxing treatments like massages and skin therapies.
3. Medical spa: Provides healthcare by qualified professionals, including diagnostic and targeted treatments.
4. Rehabilitation recovery programs for individuals post-surgery or injury, utilizing personalized treatment plans. Rehabilitation and habilitation for children are unique services at the Tbilisi Balneological Spa Resort. These programs significantly improve children's physical and emotional well-being when facing health challenges or developmental needs.
