Spain is a country known for its thermal water spas, or balnearios, which have been used for their therapeutic and health benefits for centuries.
The National Association of Spas (ANBAL) was established more than 100 years ago. The fundamental base of its association is to have Mineral and Healing Waters declared of Public Utility. The organization brings currently the best 60 Spas / Balnearios in Spain together.
The Association was recognized in Royal Decree-Law 743/1928 of April 25 (Statute on the exploitation of Medicinal Water Springs).
