ChaudFontaine Water: The Official Water of the Paris 2024 Olympics
ChaudFontaine water, sourced from the Thermal Spring & Spa village of ChaudFontaine in Belgium—home to the famous “Warm Fountain”—is the official water served to all Olympians and supporters at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
ESPA was among the first to know, as this was announced during our TERME SELCE Conference at the EU Institutions in Brussels, held at the “Committee of the Regions” building. We tasted it, and can confirm that it’s an excellent mineral water. As specialists in mineral and thermal waters, we’re excited to share this with you. ChaudFontaine is a small thermal village in the French-speaking, higher region of Belgium, just an hour from Brussels.
ChaudFontaine water descends to a depth of 1,700 meters, where it reaches a temperature of 37°C. After decades underground, it resurfaces at approximately 27.4°C. In 2021, a devastating “waterbomb” wiped ChaudFontaine off the map, claiming 220 lives. The term “waterbomb” refers to a climatological phenomenon where an entire cloud system releases its full water content in mere seconds. This catastrophe affected not just ChaudFontaine, but several other villages, extending even to areas just over the Belgian-German border.
Part of the ChaudFontaine spring has since been sold to the Coca-Cola Company, an official partner of the Olympic Games, marking a new beginning for this historic water source.
In addition to all Olympians drinking and sharing pictures with ChaudFontaine water, the village has published tenders for rebuilding its Thermal Spa, public Aquatic Park, and more on the European tenders website, just before the start of the Olympics. Sven Aerts was invited, and this article is also intended for our ESPA Investors, encouraging them to explore these opportunities. The Thermal Spa is the closest of its kind to the EU Institutions, with their 60,000+ personnel, making it an intriguing investment prospect.
ESPA Partners at the Paris 2024 OLYHOUSE
Did you know? 70% of Olympians struggle with anxiety and depression after the Games. The difference between bringing medals home or not is often a state of mind.
PharmaFlight & Terme SELCE have a stand at the Paris 2024 OLY House, where they assess the bodies and brains of athletes to develop personalized recovery plans. They are demonstrating technologies that can instantly help athletes by reading and responding to their physical and mental conditions to reach their maximum in the long term.
After the Games, 70% of Olympians experience anxiety and depression. Yesterday, tens of thousands cheered for them at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, but now—at the airport, train station, or in transit—nobody seems to recognize them. The previous generations of Olympians understand this all too well. That’s why the Olympians Association, which advocates for all Olympians (a kind of syndicate for Olympians), organizes the OLYHOUSE.
