Through community engagement, winners and participants become models for future destinations, showcasing Europe’s unique health tourism identity.
The second proposal for the EU Parliament preparatory action of ESPA has been positively voted on at the first stage.
Proposal was prepared by ESPA with the support of the member countries: Hungary, Slovakia, Croatia, and Slovenia. The REGI Committee supported is focused on the two main objectives:
1. To enhance the value of the medical spa and climate health industry and highlight the positive effects on the development of the rural regions and the European economy in general
2. TO BETTER KNOW the European spa industry and SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT of the balneotherapy economy/health resorts throughout Europe, especially in the weak regions with natural remedies of Europe.
The proposal includes a comprehensive assessment of the added value of European medical spas and climate health services, a driving economy in rural areas, and improving the overall health of European citizens, providing the chance for existing health services in the region without industry.
