A medical doctor who connected her whole career with medical spas. She worked on the position as spa physician, research worker of Research institute, lecturer in courses preparing doctors for medical specialization Physiatry, Balneology and Medical rehabilitation, as top manager of a big spa company, expert in assessing natural healing resources and climatic conditions. She is the author and co-author of several publications focused on physiatry, balneology, climatotherapy and medical rehabilitation. From 2006 until now, she is the vice-president of the state spa commission which works as administrative body at the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic. She is accepted as an expert in assessing natural healing sources and climatic conditions for spa treatment not only in Slovakia. She also worked on projects as a senior adviser of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). From 1991 to 1999, she was the president of the professional society of Physiatry, Balneology and Medical rehabilitation at the Slovak Medical Society. Since 1999 till now, she has been leading the Association of Slovak Spas. In 2000, she brought the Slovak spas to ESPA and already in 2004 – 2008 she became the president of ESPA. Her goal was the harmonization of quality criteria for medical spas in Europe. From 2008 until now, she has been the Vice-president of ESPA, and her professional interest is in international cooperation focused on new spa programs respecting the health status of the population and needs of modern medicine. In October 2024, the Czech- Slovak monograph “Bioclimatology – Biometeorology – Climatotherapy” will be published, where she is co-author. It is a good example of international cooperation in spa medicine.
Her presentation will be focused on the criteria and requirements necessary to recognize climatic conditions suitable for treatment in climatic spas.
